Taylor Holmes is a certified crop advisor and sales agronomist for Holmes Agro in Redickville, Ontario (Canada). We asked him what drives his day-to-day by working with growers: "Agriculture's just, it's continuously evolving. There's always new challenges or new goals and benchmarks to help growers continue to achieve what they need to get their return on investment. Our business is to help make sure the growers we work with are ultimately successful."
"I guess inconsistency in our seasons provides challenges every year and no single year is the same as the next or the one previous to it, and so we have to be able to adapt and control as many factors in a growing season as we possibly can.
So, having tools that we can work with to help create a more consistent growing season or control more variables is very important to us and our growers. Our first goal [when started using AGTIV®] was mainly in the potato industry or the potato crop. We wanted to create a more consistent uniform set, more marketable yield for growers, and of course a good return on investment with the product that they had to use."
"We've been very happy with the results we've seen with the product so far. We've been able to put a lot of dollars and marketable yield back in growers' crops and potatoes, and just visual more extensive root systems and cash crops, more vigorous plants."
